Vows

These are the basic vows I use in most wedding ceremonies, However The can be adjusted, added to or edited. Remember the ceremony is for you. Please take a few moments and make it personal.
This ceremony as written will last approximately 9 minutes

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God, and in the presence of Family & Friends to unite BROOKE & BRADD  in holy matrimony.

We begin this journey as husband and wife with some advice from the Bible

First Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.

BRADD we will begin with you.
BRADD It is your duty to be to BROOKE a considerate, tender, faithful, loving Husband: to support, guide and cherish her in prosperity and trouble; to thoughtfully and carefully enlarge the place she holds in your life; to constantly show her the tokens of your affection, and to shelter her from danger.

BROOKE It is your duty to be to BRADD  a considerate, tender, faithful, loving Wife; to counsel, comfort and cherish him in prosperity and trouble; to give to him the unfailing evidences of your affection and as time passes to make the place he holds in your heart, broader and deeper.

If the two of you are ready to assume these duties and obligations before God, as I have defined them, you will face each other, unite your hands and pledge your love and your lives to each other.

Brad Please Repeat after me.

I BRADD standing in the presence of God and these witnesses,
solemnly pledge my faith to you .
I promise to live with you according to God’s ordinance
in the holy state of matrimony;
I promise to love you,
comfort you
honor, and keep you,
in sickness and in health,
and forsaking all others,
keep myself only unto you,
and through God’s grace
to promise to be to you
a faithful and devoted Husband
as long as we both shall live?

BROOK Please Repeat after me.
I BROOKE standing in the presence of God and this witnesses,
Solemnly pledge my faith to you .
I promise to live with you according to God’s ordinance
in the holy state of matrimony;
I promise to love you
comfort you
honor, and keep you
in sickness and in health,
and forsaking all others,
keep myself only unto you,
and through God’s grace
to promise to be to you
a faithful and devoted Wife
as long as we both shall live?

Ring Vows

BRADD, have you a symbol of your love and fidelity for BROOKE?

BROOKE, Do you receive this ring in pledge of love on your part?

BROOKE — I do.

BROOKE, have you a symbol of your love and fidelity for BRADD?
BRADD, do you receive this ring in pledge of love on your part?
BRADD — I do.

The wedding ring is the outward and the visible sign of an inward and spiritual bond which unites two hearts in endless love. The circle, the emblem of eternity–it is to show how lasting and imperishable is the faith now pledged. Let the ring, a fit token of that which is unending; continue to be to you both a symbol of the value, the purity, and the constancy of true wedded love, and the seal of the vows in which you have both pledged your most solemn and sacred

By the authority committed unto me, I declare that BRADD and BROOKE are now Husband & Wife,

Remember our Lord’s urgent counsel:
“What God hath joined together let no man put asunder”. Therefore, let no one presume to come between the two of you, or to share the joys or the sorrows that belong to you two alone.

BRADD You may now kiss your wife!!
